Tanner Rice

This year at I had the pleasure of bringing down our newest CTA team member and fellow Nor Cal native Tanner Rice. Tanner is nothing short of a phoneme and it was great to have him at camp. At the age of six he started training with his hero,  Rod Rice, who also happened to be his father  and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt.  At the age of 18 he won the worlds as a brown belt and at 19 he earned his black belt. Many people were skeptical on how some one so young could have acheieved such a big mile stone so early. Tanner proved that he certainly had the skill  by upsetting world champion Augusto "Tanquino"Mendes at the IBJJF pro league. Off the mat he is even more impressive.

At camp we asked if he could teach a regular evening class, what he taught blew everyone away. Hope you enjoy and keep an eye out for Tanner, he has a huge future in our sport!
