CTA THE PATH TO BLUE BELT

The CTA program is designed for people with minimal experience in mind. It is the core Fundamental class and follows the curriculum designed by Professor Caio Terra. These classes will help all students build a solid foundation. Proficiency in the CTA Fundamental curriculum is required for advancement to blue belt. It is also required knowledge and is included in the tests of all colored belts, including Black Belt.

STANDING

1 - Double leg
2 - Sprawl to the back
3 - Pulling to close guard
4 - Pulling close guard shooting hips up + armlock with standing opponent
5 - Double ankle sweep
6 - Single leg
7 - Single leg finishing (dump)
8 - Arm out guillotine

CLOSED GUARD

9 - Armlock vs armpit grip
10 - Opening the closed guard standing
11 - Cross choke from closed guard (Under)
12 - Cross choke from closed guard
13 - Triangle choke hugging the leg
14 - Setting up the overhook to triangle choke
15 - Breaking the posture (Opening the elbow, pulling one collar, and opening the elbow)
16 - Kimura from closed guard
17 - Sit up sweep

SIDE CONTROL

19 - Recovering to closed guard from side control

About the instructor

Professor Caio Terra has won a record setting 10 IBJJF No Gi world championships. In addition, he has won 2 Gi World Championships and believes strongly that technique conquers all. He has proven this time and time again, and has won the American National Absolute title 3 times! As a teacher, his students have won at the highest levels from Worlds to ADCC. He has coached in several UFC title fights and is often regarded as one of the most technical Jiu Jitsu instructors in the world
